Phuket residents are spoiled for choice of sunset location. Yet, when it comes to sunrises, there’s one destination that reigns supreme – Samet Nangshe.

Tucked away in neighboring Phang Nga province, this mountaintop viewpoint is the pride of the whole Phuket region, much like the iconic James Bond Island or the floating village of Ko Panyi.

The area is also a prime location for stargazing. With no nearby roads, buildings, or industry, Samet Nange offers a rare pocket of darkness in an increasingly lit-up world.
