The most amazing of The World’s 50 Best Hotels are closer than you think!
When it comes to choosing your dream vacation, the hotel is immediately at the top of the list. You can put up with an inconvenient flight if it’s compensated by an unforgettable stay. But an uncomfortable hotel? Oh no…
Though our preferences may differ, there are still hotels that manage to impress almost everyone – and these are exactly the ones that make it into the coveted The World’s 50 Best Hotels ranking by The World’s 50 Best.
To earn a place among the 50 finest hotels on Earth, a property must excel in every detail – design, views, service, amenities, and cuisine. Neglect one and you lose it all: that’s the rule of the game. Thus, The World’s 50 Best Hotels is not just about individual venues; it’s also about brands you can trust.
This year, Asian resorts dominated the list, with six of the top ten hailing from Hong Kong, Singapore, and Bangkok. And the Thai capital alone claimed three of those top ten spots!
The World’s 10 Best Hotels:
4. Passalacqua
Crowned as the world’s best hotel for 2025 was Rosewood Hong Kong. Just a short flight from Phuket, the city is a must-visit destination, and Rosewood is the jewel in the crown of the metropolis that gave us Alan Zeman, the person who then built Andara, Phuket own resort masterpiece.
If Rosewood Hong Kong feels too far away, its Phuket sister property – Rosewood Phuket – sits just south of Patong, ready to offer a one-of-a-kind experience any day you choose. Try it at least for an unforgettable dinner!
Taking the silver prize was Four Seasons Bangkok, an ideal stay for your festive-season trip to the Thai capital, especially if you plan to enjoy the Vijit Chao Phraya light show. The hotel sits right on the banks of the city’s main river.
Phuket has yet to welcome its own Four Seasons, but for a resort experience you can head to Four Seasons Koh Samui, where the third season of The White Lotus was filmed.
Earning the bronze award this year was last year’s winner, Capella Bangkok. Elegant, tranquil, and effortlessly charming, it’s also home to Stella Bar, where Thai traditions meet the kaleidoscopic pulse of modern-day Bangkok. In a nutshell, Capella Bangkok is a place to experience a little piece of the city’s history and spirit – in a glass.
Ranked 7th overall is Mandarin Oriental Bangkok, a hotel that needs no introduction. The legendary riverside property has welcomed the great and the glamorous for 150 years – from Elizabeth Taylor to Marlon Brando. And those silk kimonos in every room? Simply iconic.
