Redwood Lakeside

A new standard of suburban prestige in Phuket

A tranquil lake, breathtaking mountain views, elegant modern homes with manicured lawns, cozy cafés and an international school just minutes away – this is the kind of picture many would associate with Switzerland, not Phuket. But why not?

A few decades ago, affluent expats were drawn to the peaceful communities surrounding the golf courses of Kathu, but developments with that same sense of exclusivity have become increasingly rare on the island. Walking through the future grounds of Redwood Lakeside, you can’t help but think: if you’re going to raise a family on Phuket, this is the place. And it’s easy to imagine that, twenty years from now, buyers will be asking their agents to find them a “home like in Redwood.”

“We’re not marketing this development as just another villa project – we’re creating a new residential community in the same way that Laguna has become known as its own neighborhood,” the developers explain as they guide us along the lakeshore where 34 villas are now taking shape.

Across the lake rise the green slopes of the Kamala Hills range, though the official address is still “Bang Tao, Cherng Talay” – a name long synonymous in Phuket not only with prestige, but with the island’s signature lifestyle.

Within just a five-kilometer radius you’ll find it all: the all-star dining and shopping of Boat Avenue, golf courses and tennis courts at Laguna Phuket, the island’s best supermarkets – Tops and Villa Market included – plus five-star spas, beauty studios, beach clubs and Phuket’s largest concert venue.

As you stroll along the planned lakeside promenade, it’s easy to forget that the Andaman Sea and beachside party vibes are a few minutes’ drive away from Redwood Lakeside. Tourist crowds feel a world apart here, a rare place on the island where you can truly let your children play outside without a second thought.

Nearby international schools include the cutting-edge new campus of HeadStart International and the renowned British International School, Phuket (BISP). Redwood Lakeside is working closely with both to offer special benefits for residents. On the healthcare side, the project will also feature exclusive services provided by Bangkok Hospital.

“Redwood Lakeside is more than just a location – it’s a starting point for a new rhythm of life, a different taste, a fresh perspective,” the developer says. “We’re not just building infrastructure; we’re creating a complete living environment – a place where it’s easy to feel at home, surrounded by your people, moving at your own pace. There’s no chaos here – but there’s room for meaningful events. There’s no crowd – but there is a vibrant, connected community.”

Redwood Lakeside has been designed as a place for real life to unfold. Mornings might start with a walk around the lake with your dog or a yoga session outdoors. You can see the children off on the school bus, enjoy a slow coffee in the clubhouse, and settle into a coworking space with panoramic views of lush greenery – all without ever leaving the community.

After work, you might head to the nearby equestrian center, fit in a round of tennis or golf, enjoy water sports, or simply unwind at your own pace.

Each villa is designed with flexibility in mind. The developer is offering both single-story and two-story homes with private pools and three different layouts. All feature living spaces ranging from 330 to 500 sqm, and each includes four bedrooms – one of which can be converted into a home office if desired.

The generous living and dining areas are clearly designed for family life, hinting at future gatherings of two, three, or even four generations around the table. True to the developer’s philosophy, construction began with a meticulous focus on infrastructure and the natural setting – laying the groundwork for decades of comfort and quality living.

Solar panels, EV charging stations, 24/7 security, energy-saving technologies, integrated smart-home systems, a private fitness center and even a dedicated club for senior family members – all of this will be part of everyday life in Redwood Lakeside, a hidden sanctuary for those who have found Phuket’s very own Lake Como.
