Louis Vuitton has long been a household name in Thailand, and as the country experiences a booming luxury market, the French brand remains one of its most esteemed players. To put things in perspective, Louis Vuitton (Thailand) Co. Ltd. was established back in the 1990s, well ahead of many other national branches.
While Phuket boasts its own Louis Vuitton boutique, true enthusiasts of the brand should not miss LV The Place Bangkok, located in the Gaysorn Amarin Mall.
As its name suggests, LV The Place Bangkok is more than just a boutique – it’s a Louis Vuitton space, complete with a store, captivating exhibition, a fine dining restaurant Gaggan at Louis Vuitton and Le Café Louis Vuitton. If you’ve ever wondered how the legacy of Louis Vuitton translates into gastronomy, Bangkok holds the answer.
The restaurant is helmed by none other than Gaggan Anand, one of Bangkok’s first Michelin-starred chefs. His newly unveiled spring menu presents two exquisite tasting journeys – one with 9 courses, the other with 13 – each meticulously crafted to elevate fine dining to an art form.
Among the standout creations is the “World Map,” a miniature three-course set inspired by Japan, Thailand, and England, served on a plate shaped like a globe.
Le Café Louis Vuitton offers a selection of handcrafted pastries and desserts that are as visually stunning as they are delicious. The highlight of the menu are seven signature cakes, including Flower Blossom Chocolate, Thai Tea Damier, and Tiramisu Monogram – each almost too beautiful to eat. And while the experience is undeniably luxurious, the pricing remains surprisingly accessible.
However, dropping by for a quick treat after a shopping spree isn’t an option here. Le Café Louis Vuitton operates strictly by reservation, and seating is limited. Guests must book in advance and arrive precisely on time – reservations are only held for a maximum of 10 minutes.
