A capsule collection by H&M and The White Lotus

The third season of The White Lotus has been analyzed from every angle, but there’s one detail that hasn’t received much attention yet. The first two seasons premiered during the world’s recovery from the pandemic, but the third season feels different. It’s practically a blueprint for your next tropical getaway. After the final credits roll, you could easily book a flight to your own White Lotus on Samui, Phuket, or any other sun-soaked island.
It’s no surprise that for this season, H&M partnered with costume designer Alex Bovaird, something they had never done before. This exclusive capsule collection, already available for your next tropical vacation, is priced between $19 and $119.
H&M describes the 25-piece collection of clothing and accessories as “sun-soaked luxury resort chic,” featuring “dynamic prints, vibrant colors, and high-octane silhouettes.” If you’re reading this from Moscow or London, it’s easy to envision a day by the pool and an evening at a relaxed beachside café.
“I believe that as a person, you are more daring on vacation; you can have a different persona, and you communicate that in the way you dress,” says H&M creative advisor Ann-Sophie Johansson. “There’s that versatility, too, so you can pack light. It works for the beach, but you can easily style it for the evening if you want to. It’s the perfect summer vacation wardrobe.”
It’s important to note that this collection reflects the style of all The White Lotus seasons, while also incorporating Thai-inspired elements drawn from the third season’s characters. The silhouettes will be familiar to fans of the show, and you can easily imagine some pieces on Thai star Lisa Manoban, who played Mook.
As Ann-Sophie mentions, the collection works just as well for evening strolls by the sea, a quick café stop, or a sunset photo op. A light boho style is perfect for these moments.
It’s also worth remembering that the third season was filmed on Samui, making this H&M collection more of a “Samui story” than a “Phuket story.” While the evening dresses from the capsule collection would be perfect for the lively Chaweng and Lamai restaurants, they wouldn’t quite suit a premium dining experience in Bang Tao or a top-tier Phuket resort.
In an H&M outfit, you’ll be ready to greet guests at your Phuket villa, look stunning on a Kamala beach walk, or enjoy a relaxed breakfast at a local café. Simply put, it’s the perfect style wherever Phuket feels like Samui.
The resort-chic vibe suits romantic ruffle dresses, vibrant kaftans, bikini tops, and laid-back boho accessories – think hats, sunglasses, and shell necklaces with colorful beads.
“This season, the characters present a version of who they want to be. It’s a little freer and more fun, more elaborate,” Boviard said in a statement. “This time, we had the heat of Southeast Asia and quite a specific spa location, which also influenced the wardrobe,” says Alex Bovaird about his costumes for the third season of The White Lotus.
The mention of the “spa location” perfectly complements the description of the H&M and The White Lotus collection. The pieces are exactly what you’d want to wear after a spa treatment – and they also leave room for those dresses perfect for a night out.
