A look back at Shaman’s first year in Phuket
Reflecting on the first year of Shaman is both rewarding and challenging, as the twelve months have been so packed with events, they could fill a book.
Opening its doors during last New Year’s celebrations, Shaman quickly established itself as a hotspot in Phuket. What began with intimate club performances by Markul and Ilya Lagutenko has evolved into a venue that has hosted hundreds of VIP guests.
By March, Shaman’s lounge was alive with music, thanks to its state-of-the-art karaoke hall. Boasting a top-tier Martin audio system, a massive screen, cozy seating, and the cutting-edge AST karaoke setup with the latest updates, the space is complemented by a charismatic art team, making it a go-to for singing enthusiasts.
Shaman’s culinary journey has been just as dynamic. With a new executive chef being a truly welcoming host, the menu has been undergoing a continuous transformation to become a gastronomic masterpiece that attracts foodies from all over Phuket. From Norwegian salmon to Australian steaks, every dish is a tribute to the chef’s impeccable taste and skill.
Shaman keeps Phuketians amazed with the diversity of events ranging from movie screenings and kid’s parties to wine tastings, and discos. Ideal for both a BBQ and a wedding, Shaman has already hosted both.
The lounge has seen it all: a Russian-Thai cultural evening, a lecture by renowned fashion historian, a 150-guest EX24 party, and the after-party for Padel Bay’s major paddle tennis tournament.
June saw Shaman partnering with RL Phuket and Art of Events to host the Red Carpet & Limelight Gala, a glamorous charity evening. The red carpet welcomed not just VIP guests but rather friends, partners, and like-minded individuals.
October brought a touch of philosophy welcoming the stars of “Otletevshie” reality show, an esoteric forum and a women’s empowerment gathering, “I.Woman.”
When asked how all these activities fit into 24/7 operations, the Shaman team simply gestures to their totem pole: “Only the spirit of the place knows the secret.”
Shaman’s weekly schedule is packed, offering something for everyone, whether you come for a delicious dinner, a karaoke night, a cinematic experience, or a 3-hour-long kid’s program. Shaman is open from 1 PM to midnight, Sunday through Sunday. Visit anytime, and you won’t miss out.
