As the green months in Phuket draw to a close, the team behind Shaman Lounge Cafe Bar sat down with RL to reflect on their accomplishments and share their exciting plans for the upcoming high season.

In the kitchen, Shaman has plenty to boast about. Under the supervision of brand chef Ruslan Sultanov, the menu has been completely revamped to delight guests with new dishes from Pan-Asian and European cuisines.

With extensive experience in Russia, Turkey, and India, Chef Ruslan is a key contributor to Shaman’s success. As a co-owner and brand chef of several restaurants in Phuket, he ensures that his dishes are both impeccably flavored and uniquely presented.

Some of the ingredients he uses are exclusive to Shaman, making the dining experience truly unique. While feta cheese from Greece can be found at many restaurants, only Shaman offers Uzbek cucumbers and tomatoes.

Social life at Shaman has also evolved greatly since the lounge officially opened in early 2024. The venue has become a unique creative space for both private events and large-scale public functions.

“Formats like karaoke, live music, quiz nights, and stand-up comedy shows have become staples here. Every Sunday is a family day with animators keeping the kids entertained, while the evening concludes with a movie night. Whatever occasion you’re planning to celebrate, our crew can put it together with both professionalism and heart. Food, entertainment, photo and video coverage – we’ve got you covered,” says the Shaman team.

Shaman’s area is also expanding. By the high season, a separate karaoke club will open, offering professional equipment, stunning backup vocalists, and even the option to sing with real pop stars when they visit Phuket.

“We’re building a karaoke club with nine tables, which is a classic setup. The wait time for your turn to sing won’t exceed 25 minutes. Excellent design, signature cuisine, and cocktails will all be there for our patrons,” promises the team.

But wait, there’s more! Right next to Shaman, a brand-new open-air concert arena is being built. During the festive season, the 8,000-seater will host spectacular shows by Diana Arbenina, Leningrad, Grigory Leps, and many more stars. For these much-anticipated concerts, Shaman will serve as the central VIP lounge, providing the best view of the stage.
