Dozens of Phuket’s most elegant, glamorous, smart, and fun-loving people gathered on Friday, June 14, at Shaman Cafe Bar & Lounge in Cherng Talay for a mid-year thank-you party organized by RL Phuket Magazine.

At 6pm, the red carpet was rolled out, drinks were chilled, limelights were shining, and spirits were high as guests began to arrive. The amazing Red Carpet & Limelight Gala was ready to make history in Phuket.

Attendees arrived at the doors of Shaman Cafe Bar & Lounge showcasing all shades of tropical chic. Elegant cocktail dresses and high heels, collars and ties, sophisticated tropical gowns, and smart casual outfits all shone in the limelight, inspiring photographers to capture their best shots.

Sharing in RL Phuket’s joy of returning to print were the teams of Art of Events and Shaman Cafe Bar & Lounge, the heroes of the magazine’s first two cover stories of 2024. Joining them were property developers, hospitality professionals, marketing gurus, restaurateurs, IT experts, digital nomads, and creative workers from over a dozen different countries, all united by their love for Phuket.

Sophisticated drinks were served to welcome guests and ignite spirits before the evening developed into a magical extravaganza of gourmet food, live music, state-of-the-art entertainment, and friendly socializing.

The night culminated in a prize giveaway. RL Phuket Magazine and its partners outdid themselves in generosity, offering amazing prizes such as free stories in RL Magazine, tantalizing dining options, and luxury leisure experiences.

Since 2008, RL Magazine has been writing about life in Phuket and the people who make this life so unique. The Red Carpet & Limelight Gala on June 14 was for everyone involved in the miracle known as “Life in Phuket.”

Special words of gratitude went to the Phuket Has Been Good to Us foundation for their daily work helping Phuket children and for welcoming RL Magazine as a partner.

Providing fun for a good cause, the Red Carpet & Limelight Gala helped to raise over ฿50,000 for the Phuket Has Been Good to Us Foundation. The money will be used to provide educational opportunities to the underprivileged children of Phuket.

The RL team was happy to meet all the old friends and make new connections at this amazing gala night. Everyone was equally thrilled to see many new faces, as new Phuketians bring the energy and ideas that change Phuket life for the better.

With so many amazing friends, partners, and supporters, the RL Phuket team couldn’t be more optimistic about the future. Whatever challenges life might bring, the incredible Phuketians can turn any odds into a win.
