What can be more amazing than a long-deserved vacation after a season of hard work? Only a great vacation with an equally great discount and for a great cause! And this is what members of the Phuket Hotels Association (PHA) are offering to fellow Phuketians right now.
The annual auction is a charitable initiative, with all the proceeds being donated to the PHA’s education programme, which funds hospitality scholarships and internships for young people in Phuket.
The Absolutely Fabulous Travel Sale commenced on May 6 and culminated in a live auction at the PHAB 6 event, the annual charity gala providing Phuket residents with the opportunity to get their dream vacations while contributing to the gift of education for underprivileged local Thai students.
The sixth annual PHAB took place at Angsana Laguna Phuket on May 18, with over 240 attendees joining the party and competing for amazing offers for a good cause.
“PHAB was simply PHABulous, lots of money raised for our hospitality scholarships for underprivileged children in Phuket. Our target of B4 million will surely be reached! Thank you to our guests, sponsors, committees, Phuket Hotels Association core team, and the many generous organizations who so willingly provided prizes for our online, silent, and live auctions. Our online auction runs until June 12th, make sure to check it out!” said Bjorn Courage, the PHA President, after the event.
“This initiative plays a vital role in empowering the next generation of talented Thai hospitality
students to follow their dreams and pursue a career in the hotel industry”.

“This initiative plays a vital role in empowering the next generation of talented Thai hospitality students to follow their dreams and pursue a career in the hotel industry. I would like to thank all of our partners for their generous donations. Together, we can build a better future for Phuket and its people,” Mr. Courage said.
