Phuket’s connoisseurs of all things beautiful were treated to a very special fashion night at The Pavilions Phuket on Nov 18 when the luxury pyjamas and loungewear brand Siamese Dreams revealed its new collection of elegant resort outfits designed in collaboration with The Pavilions and inspired by the hotel’s lush greenery.
The exquisite loungewear fashion experience was complete with a dinner at The Pavilions Phuket’s award-winning restaurant ALTO (four courses and two desserts) and refreshing tropical concoctions from Bamboo Bar.
Adding a social responsibility angle to the gala event, an auction was held at The Pavilions to support the Seeds of Change charity initiative. Lots on offer included luxury cruises, haute cuisine dinners, hotel stays, and more.
The Bamboo Siamensis collection includes some of Siamese Dreams’ most popular tropical outfits such as luxe shirts and trousers, camisole, relaxed shorts, and luxe robe. All items are immediate eye-catchers with exclusive prints and fabrics by Bangkok-based artist Fuanglada Verdillon.
Fuanglada’s breathtaking patterns are always a sight to behold, while this particular collection incorporates whimsical motifs of verdant Thai bamboo and golden dragonflies in the artist’s realistic watercolour style. The fabric used in the collection is an innovative blend that uses 50% sustainable bamboo, giving it more sheen than plain cotton.
“I’ve always been fascinated by the rituals around rest, the activities we do to transition one’s mental and physical state from work to rest, from showering off the day to changing into ‘inside’ clothing. We designed Siamese Dream’s loungewear for this transition, easing wearers into their desired state of peace and sanctuary through calming aesthetics and comfortable fabrics,” said Siamese Dreams’ founder Mika Wassenaar.
The collection is now available for purchase at a pop-up Siamese Dreams boutique at The Pavilions, as well as online via the websites of The Pavilions Phuket and Siamese Dreams.
Those staying at The Pavilions can firsthand experience the charm of Bamboo Siamensis during their time at the resort as the hotel’s new robes are made of the same design and fabric.
“If they wish to take home a piece of sanctuary, they will be able to purchase the pieces from the collection in our shop,” said Elena Orru, General Manager of The Pavilions Phuket.
